Release Day Spotlight for A Discovery of Dragons

Today we’re celebrating the new release of A Discovery of Dragons, book one in the Boreas’ Tribes Saga by Dirk Biesinger, a fantasy with science fiction elements.

Loe, growing up in a high-tech installation with four other humanoids, holograms, and droids, learns that they are part of a millennia-old program to re-diversify the genetic pool of their world, Boreas. This world was at the center of a galactic empire before its collapse. Population, Economy, Technology, Religion, and Society.

That the program has been activated must mean that world and society are stabilized post collapse. Seven months later they emerge onto the surface to find a society that deliberately foregoes technology to build a meaningful, intentional and purposeful way of life and does so on a planetary scale, living meaningful, intentional and content with less. Everyone, every tribe, every folk is working to find their balance. Loe and the other Seedlings must find their way, find themselves and find their role in events unfolding.

Magic and dragons exist only in half-forgotten folktales. Or do they? Magic makes for toasty feetโ€ฆ.

The saga is written in the first-person perspective of multiple characters. It sits at the intersection of Fantasy and sci-fi with a dose of Romance, a positive spin, and strong elements of hope and outlook added to it.
